Meena George was born in Kerala and brought up in Chennai, she studied in a Seventh-day Adventist school, and she heard about Jesus, and went to the Chapel, the songs everything made her want to know the Lord. But she thought he was just another God. She always felt that Jesus was predominant, but she did not know the truth. Then life hit her with so many trials, emotional and physical. There came a time when she had to decide to follow Jesus, and after that, there was no looking back, she started reading the Bible and she experienced the Holy Spirit guiding and teaching her. As time passed, she became restless about the teachings in the church. She realized that she was still trying to earn God's love, everything she did was ritualistic. As she was ill most of the time and at the same time was going through a lot of issues, she kept feeling that she was a sinner and that's why she was going through a tough time,
Everybody she knew kept telling her that her faith was not enough. Deep down in her heart, she knew they were wrong and that she was missing something, that’s when she heard about Andrew Wommack from a friend. She started watching him on God TV. Later, with the same friend she went to Charis Bible College in Colorado, that friend told her about Charis in Chennai India where she lived at that point.
One day she found out that the excruciating pain she was suffering from was an autoimmune disease called Fibromyalgia. This disease does not have a cure and can be managed only with painkillers. Since she took a lot of painkillers and medications, it started causing issues. She joined Charis Bible College part-time course in 2019, which changed her life. Sitting for hours at college and home listening to the teachings set her free. She understood how only the truth could free us from all the wrong doctrines. Her mind was being renewed every day, the fact that she didn’t have to do anything to earn God's love and that He had already done everything for me was amazing to her.
John 10:10, opened her inner eyes, all the verses in the Bible lit up and it was like a rebirth for her. She slowly realized that she was not taking as many painkillers and within 3 months she had stopped taking those painkillers completely. That’s when it dawned on her that she was no longer having pain and that she was free from Fibromyalgia. She says Charis has just changed my life; I am free from condemnation…
