In Charis, we not only learn about the word of God but are also encouraged to apply it in our daily lives. Lamington Ashish David Graduate of batch 22 -23 has personally experienced a significant transformation, demolishing strongholds of presumption and assumption regarding the word of God through the teachings at Charis. As he continued to grow in his understanding of God's word and its practical application at every stage of life, his faith flourished.
A profound miracle took place in Ashish’s family. In 2022, his mother-in-law lost 90% of her eyesight due to glaucoma. Although Ashish often thought about praying for her eyesight, he hesitated and kept postponing it. However, God convicted him for not acting. During his family prayer, he asked his mother-in-law, if she believed that God could heal her, to which she responded positively. He then requested her permission to pray for her, which she granted. Ashish prayed for her with unwavering faith, asking for the restoration of her eyesight.
From that moment, Ashish’s family began to witness remarkable changes. They encouraged her to undergo an eye check-up, a decision she had previously resisted. After the tests were completed, the doctor advised that they could perform eye surgery, although the chances of success were minimal, and there was a risk of complete eyesight loss. After some time and with strengthened faith, she agreed to the surgery. Ashish’s family covered her in prayer, and he received a divine revelation that she would regain her eyesight. With their faith in God's healing power, the family accompanied her to the hospital, and she underwent eye surgery. A week later, when the dressing was removed, she astounded all of them by announcing that her eyesight had been completely restored.
Today, she not only reads the word of God but also leads a joyful and normal life, giving thanks to God for this unimaginable miracle. This incident has deepened Ashish’s faith exponentially, reinforcing the belief that our God is a God of miracles and that every child of God possesses the authority to overcome the works of the devil.
